Where can I find some really good pictures of what nits look like when attached to human hair?

they are tiny little black dots with hard shell on them, they will usually be bedded into scalp as well so u need the shampoo and not just nit comb

dont worry, is not a sign of dirty hair as originally thought - nits actually prefer clean hair but will do live in both dirty and clean

Nits tend to look like white flakes on the hair shaft. They are very small and sort of tear drop shaped. If you find that you can't get rid of them with regular treatment, use Vaseline over the whole head and keep it on there for at least 12-18 hours. This suffocates the lice and the nits. The only drawback to this is that it is very difficult to wash the Vaseline out of the hair afterwards. The good news is, it does work!
