Hairextensions in Houston,TX?

Where can I get DECENT hairextensions for less in Houston,TX?

About how much do I have to expect to pay?

I prefer human hair so I can curl it with an curling iron.

(I watched Tyra, and she said that you CAN get human hair for less).

How do I know if it is REAL HUMAN HAIR or NOT?

Do I have to bring my own hair?

Am I allowed to bring my own hair?

Many questions HAIR,lol:)

Thanks!

Hairextensions in Houston,TX?

The best method of hair extensions are actually clip extensions. You can apply and remove them yourself. They cause no damage and they last a lifetime. All you have to do is section your own hair, insert the hair wefts and snap the clips shut. Tyra used to wear these back in her modeling days and Jessica Simpson has a brand of them out bet hers is VERY expensive. The best human hair is Remy human hair. You can color, blow dry, curl with an iron ....anything you want because it is REAL human hair. Try www.hairinaminute.com they sell Remy human hair for about $120 and the shipping is free you will get it in 2-3 days. Hope this helps!

Hairextensions in Houston,TX?

google hair extension, salon, houston, tx

you will get all the salons that do hair extensions. Then call them all stores have different policies ok...

I hope a helped a bit =)

Hairextensions in Houston,TX?

You can tell if its real hair just by feeling it, real hair usually feels silkier and you can just tell. i guess you could take your real hair to match the color!

Is it possible??

I want a certain wig. But I can find it anywhere that doesn't cost and arm, a leg, and your first born child. I've heard you can style a real human hair wig and dye it (but not very many times). Can I just buy the right length of realy human hair and have it styled and dyed to my likings??? That would be VERY helpful on cost.

OR, do you know of a place that custom makes real human hair wigs as a lot cost??

Is it possible??

If you have a Sam Moon near you they have lots of wigs and extensions. Plus jewelry and purses!

Or try ebay.

Is it possible??

ebay honey ...The cheapest I know of..and there are so many varieties for cheap.

Whats the best sewn in weave style to get?

so heres the deal, I already made up my mind that im getting synthetic hair weave over human hair.. reason number 1 is because its cheaper, reason number 2, human hair is usually cacuasian and asian eurpean etcc.. which will not look natrual and it will cause breakage to my own hair.. so thats out of the question. I was wondering, whats the best synthetic weave style to get for my hair so it will look natrual.. im thinking of getting curly... but i dont know if it will last as long as i want it too because im worried that the curls will come out or it will start to frizz. any suggestions would be of great help! and this is my frist time getting weave, im getting it in a few weeks from now!

pictures as examples would be great (so i can see what your talkin about).

thanx,

kesha.

Whats the best sewn in weave style to get?

Indian hair.

Whats the best sewn in weave style to get?

Okay girl. I'm getting a sew in today and I've done it all. Synthetic, human, you name it I've had it. Today I'll be getting human hair.

Human hair in my opinion, is great because you can style it with heat, wash it, etc. And it's not plastic like synthetic hair, so it actually does less damage to your natural hair. Also, If you were to get human hair, you'd get human yaki hair, not silky straight or anything other than yaki. The yaki texture is much closer to an African American's permed hair texture. So, I'd actually recommend you get human hair. Especially if you want to curl it, wash it, flat iron it, etc. That's out of the question with synthetic hair.

If you do get synthetic hair and you are interested in curls, get synthetic hair that is already curly. If you get it straight, then have it curled, the curls won't stay. So, get the already curled synthetic hair. You can also get synthetic hair that's already wavy. But once again, the styles are sort of at a limit with synthetic hair. Your beautician can style it in any way you'd like if using human hair. And the good thing about it is, once you get tired of the curls, you can flat iron them out with human hair, not with synthetic. The best brand in my opinion is Hollywood hair.

Also, the technique that is used for the sew in can play a part in hair damage. So ask your beautician about her technique, and see if your comfortable with that.

Okay, good luck with your extentions. I can't wait to get mine done today.

Which one is better?

ok well i've been on ebay looking for clip in hair extensions and i've come across a few that i like. but i need oppinions on which ones you think are better quality or if you think there bad.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/10-PIECE-20-CLIP-...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HUMAN-HAIR-EXTENS...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CLIP-IN-CLIP-ON-H...

so please tell me which out of these four you would choose

thankyou!

xx

Which one is better?

I'm thinking 3 or 4. First of all they are longer pieces so more to trim and play with. Second - human hair - always go with human hair. #4 says there are clips -but I don't see them unless they are the same colour as the hair if they are - then #4 if not - then #3.

Which one is better?

i think they all look great but i like the third on best if those are to expensive then the second one bye good luck.

Which one is better?

the third one down is the only one that doesn't look that fake :)

Does any 1know of a REAL GOOD hairdresser that specializes in hairweaving for black women in Baltimo

I 'm not rich so I'm not looking for a celebrity stylist just some one that doesn't make my hair look like a weave. There are plenty of talented hairdressers, females and some males that make there clients hair look natural. Not the styles that you can see the weaving ring in the middle of your head where the sewed it at, but using your own hair to incorporate the style to look like you've grown it. I would also like for this hairdresser to either use the Indian virgin Remy hair, or at least know how to weave using it. A friend of mine told me that it the best human hair out there( but kind of expensive, not to many salons use it). But it doesn't tangle like the corner/beauty stores Yaki/human hair does. Please for the people that respond to my Question let me know if the hairdresser(s) that you speak of are from personal experience or word of mouth etc.. If possible share pics of hairstyles that are from the dresser. Thanks everyone...

Help!!! I need a Weave 101 session immediately.?

I'm going to the Essence Festival in N.O. and I want to look good, I mean REAL good but I need some help. I wanted to try a weave to switch it up. I've had one before, I used Sassy Human Hair Weave (1 bag) from Sally's Beauty Supply and my stylist did it but I wasn't satisified b/c it looked like I needed more weave. So, ladies who have experience with weave please help me out.

1. Can I perm my hair and get a weave in the same day?

2. Does it matter how my hair is braided under the weave?

3. Should I get human or synthetic hair? (I'm going to be swimming and I also want something that's gonna look real.)

4. I have thick, coarse hair. How many bags of weave will I need? and How many pieces of track will she have to place on each braid?

5. What length should I get? (I want it to be longer than my hair

(wh/ is shoulder length) but I don't want it down to my behind.)

****Most importantly, what is the best brand of weave (that I can purchase from a store)?****

Thank You.

Help!!! I need a Weave 101 session immediately.?

I know about a weave so to answer your questions...

1. Yes you can perm your hair the day you get a weave. I usually perm my hair the day before.

2. It does matter how you have your hair braided under the weave. This is important because you want the hair to lay and look naturally and if you don't have it braided well, then you will have a lumpy-head. Your stylist should be able to tell what would be best for your head. I personally like when the cornrows have been braided horizontally as opposed to vertically.

3. You MOST Def need to get human hair. Synthetic hair will get tangled after a day or two and you can not curl it. And it will end up looking like a wet dog after swimming.

4. If you have thick hair, you need two bags. (I have thick hair and I usually use most of the second bag but not all of it when getting a full head weave). You really shouldn't put multiple tracks on a braid.

5. I suggest getting 14" hair because it's not too long but not short. But if you are planning to have your stylist cut your hair into a style then get 16" or maybe 18".

If you are looking for affordable human hair that will last about a month then get Urban Beauty. If you are looking for something that will last a little longer and is a little nicer try Black Diamond. And if you are trying to get the real good stuff then get Goddess or Bohyme. And since you have thick, coarse hair make sure to get YAKI because it will look more natural with your real hair.

Good luck.

Help!!! I need a Weave 101 session immediately.?

Girl help has arrived!!!

yes you can relax and weave the same day

It should not matter how the hair is braided for the sew in if your stylist knows what he/she is doing.

Get human hair if you want the maintenance and styling versatility, Synthetic if you dont want the maintenance and if it is curly/wavy hair it will retain the curl pattern.

You will need two bags of hair at 14 inches for both or if you want it layered one a 12 and the other 14.

MOST IMPORTANTLY...stop buying the hair from Sally's that hair is crappy and very damaged with split ends. Try outre-new premium yaky in the purple pack.

Help!!! I need a Weave 101 session immediately.?

Hi there! I have been doing extensions for several years.

1. Yes you can but realize that your hair is gonna be week and your scalp kinda tender...

2. Yes. The braid has to "match" the way the flow of the weave is going. For example: if you do a braid that is around the head in a circular motion, then put the inside of the tract on the inside of the braid, the hair will lay flat in that area. If you put the tract on the outside of the braid, then you will have a slight "bump" which can be good for body or fullness.

3. Human hair is more expensive but better for swimming and heat. Sometimes depending on your hair grade, synthetic can look better, but it is not as manageable for wet and wavy looks.

BTW try wet and wavy hair...

4. This also depends on the style you want. Normally, 4 or 5 bags for braids. and it also depends on how thick you want the locks to be...

5. Just depends on how long you want your hair to be. The sky is the limit there...

Try 18 inches for tract hair, and loose braid hair comes WAYYYYYY long anyhow. You can cut it easily to wherever you want.

Try YAKI hair. It is better for those of us who have more course hair..

Happy Braiding! Have fun on your trip!

Help!!! I need a Weave 101 session immediately.?

1. yes. one time i permed my hair then put weave in the next day. Nothing bad happened.

2. yes, because no one wants lumpy braids under the weave. it doesn't look good. Small braids would be good.

3. Go with the human hair. it may cost more, but at least if you get it wet, you can blow dry it, unlike the synthetic.

4. 1-1/2 or two packs. depends.

5. get 14 inches. its a decent length.

*milkyway,sentational,outre are good.

Help!!! I need a Weave 101 session immediately.?

I have been licensed for 5 years and specialize in weave. These are the answers to your questions:

When you are getting a weave you have to consider the activities in your schedule. By you knowing you are going to swim on your vacation, trust me, get braids! Depending on the braids you get it does matter what type of hair (micros human hair, cornrows either, etc). If you get any other method of weaving, after swimming you will deal with the torture of detangling your hair (and not all weave can be saved from that..you will have to take it out). Also, DO NOT GET A FRESH RELAXER BEFORE YOUR VACATION! You are going swimming, your relaxer should not be under 2 1/2 weeks old. If fresh you will strip the relaxer from your hair and can possibly cause breakage. Now with future references for weaving:

The best and most healthy technique for your hair is sewing. When its time to take out, you dont have to worry about pulling glue from your hair which if not taking out properly, causes breakage or patches of hair to come out from your scalp. With sewing, all that has to be done is cutting the thread, no harm there (but dont do it yourself have a stylist or someone else who can see the thread to take it out for you). HOWEVER, get someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to that method. Get references and if styist has photos of his/her work, ask to see them. If the braids are not done properly, your weave will look a complete mess! If getting the sewing method, you can relax your hair the same day (even though I recommend doing it a few days before because of how your hair is so limp after just getting one). If glued, wait at least a week.

As far as how many bags, depend on the length of the weave. The longer it is, the more its stretch out (unless you get a more expensive weave which usually runs in the range of $200-300. Usually it takes 2 to 2 1/2, but ask the stylist because she is the one who actually see the thickness of your hair. If the weave if done correctly and depending on the style you get, it dont matter how long the hair is because your hair is braided under it. Again ask your stylist for that suggestion.

Remember: Dont focus on who is cheaper, focus on who is going to do it right. I cant tell you how many time people came back to me after going to someone who was charging a cheaper rate. Remember you get what you pay for.

Forinsic science help big grade?

Hey can you send me the answers that you finally got for those. I am in the same situation and need some help.

Thanks

Forinsic science help big grade?

hey im in the same class as u.... when you find out what they are can you send them to me... im having a little troube.

Should I get weave?

I want to get weave put in my hair, the kind that you sew in. But a couple things...

1. How long does it last?

2. How expensive is it?

3. If I go back to school (law school) with it in my hair, will people make a big deal?

4. Can you wash it, hair spray it, like regular hair

5. Can I go to a black hair salon without them looking at me like I'm crazy (I'm white)?

6. Does synthetic hair work as well as human hair....I mean I know its cheaper and you get what you pay for, but is it a must to get human hair

Thanks!

Should I get weave?

1. It can last up to 2 months.

2. For me it usually costs $140 for my whole head.

3. People probably wont even notice, especially if it matches your natural hair color. Also, since you're white, people wont expect it to be a weave.

4.If you get human hair, you can treat it like regular hair.

5. They might look at you weird, but they'll get over it.

6. Synthetic hair is never as good as human hair! You cannot use heat on it or it will melt, it is really stiff and so shiny that it looks fake. Human hair is definitely better.

Note: To make your hair look as natural as possible, make sure you have a part in the front with a small portion of your natural hair out. Also, make sure the color and texture of the human hair matches yours. See if you can find Remy hair (it's a type, not a brand). Remy hair doesn't tangle, washes well, and looks very natural.

Should I get weave?

1. Depends on the quality of the stylisy and hair.

And how well you maintain it.

2. It ranges on average from $500 to $1000+

depending on the salon and hair.

3. People will think its cool if anything. It will prolly

look hott!

4. You can do whatever to it, just not frequently.

5. They will be happy for your business? But a white place

will be more experienced with white hair, I would go

to white people.

6. Synthetic is fake. That means you cant color, curl,

straighten or anything. Def. get real hair. Fake hair

wont last as long either.

I recommened clip-ins though. No damage, easy to apply,

cheaper, and last the longest from my experience.

Much better and look better!

Good luck!

Should I get weave?

Because u are white, u can't get a weave? This is the type of stereotypical crap that PISSES ME OFF! A lot of white women have extensions- Jessica Simpson has a line of hair extensions- (idk if they call it "weave") but people never think about it that way. If it is a black person with long hair, it is automatically weave!!

Why do you need to go to a black hair salon?? a regular hair salon can't help u? Don't salons do extensions?

And unless u go to a mean, ghetto salon, why would they look at you crazy? ANd why would people make a big deal? Just say it's fake or don't get it!

Should I get weave?

1. 1-3 months..depends how well u keep it up

2. im white and my whole head was about 200 bucks so not bad

3. nah ppl will love it !!

4. human hair u can curl and straightin and do watever to

5. YES i go to a black salon and i feel extremely comfortable! lol

6.human hair doesnt tangle as easy as the other but im not sure i have never had synthetic hair

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,& unnecessary body

I guess God must have a thing for body hair

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

the devil

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

Because we evolved from apes. We needed body hair till we discovered fire and how to make clothes to keep us warm.

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

So the supermarkets will get a lot of business in the purchasing of 'beauty' products!

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

Maybe he didn't think it was undesirable and unnecessary.

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

It is society"s programming the vanity, and besides we have resources god gifted us to use,......razors.

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

lol.... maybe because body hair is supposed to keep you warm. It does serve a purpose, believe it or not!!! Thanks for the laugh, I needed it!!!

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

Well, since "undesirable and unnecessary" are cultural and subjuctive concepts, I guess God wasn't trying to please everybody.

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

what about the appendix too?

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

well i totally agree with u that god's creation is perfect, and this is for generally creations not just humans, but what i disagree with u about is that the hair might be undesirable but who said that it is unnecessary??????? uptill now science hasnt revield everything, so we cant just admit that the hair is unnecessary.

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

Try to find out a hidden message of the God in removing the undesired elements.

If gods' creation of humans is perfect, then why do we have undesirable,%26amp; unnecessary body hair?

Finally the evidence we need to disprove God!!!

Using clippers to cut my puppy's hair?

I have a maltese/shihtzu so his hair is pretty straight with a very slight wave.

I have some clippers that are normally for humans. Is that okay? And I planned to use a #4 - i read 1 article talking about a #10 could they mean pet clippers? And do I use the same number all over or will I need shorter ones for other areas such as his legs and feet?

Using clippers to cut my puppy's hair?

They are probably talking about a #10 guard for the clippers.

Using clippers to cut my puppy's hair?

sure

Using clippers to cut my puppy's hair?

I cut my dogs hair all the time with "human" hair clippers, they basically are the same thing as "dog" clippers. Depending on how short you want his hair which guard you use, the first time probably wont turn out like you thought but don't give up you will get better at it.

Do men, on average, have more pubic hair than women?

On average, men tend to have more 'body hair' than women, such as on their arms, legs, and chest.

Of course I'm talking about humans in their natural state, so please DO NOT consider shaving in your answer to this question.

My hypothesis based on research would suggest that women in fact have more pubic hair (on average) than men do. Looking for input on this.

Do men, on average, have more pubic hair than women?

Everyone has different amounts of pubic hair regardless of their sex. The amount of hair on a particular area of persons body depends upon how close the papilla are to each other. Some are very close (lots of hair in that area) and some are not as close so there would be fewer hairs in those areas. Once the papilla is damaged no hair will grow from that particular pore anymore.

Do men, on average, have more pubic hair than women?

Why do you think women have more, being that men are hairier? My p.h. doesn't grow up into my cheast like my husbands.

.

Do men, on average, have more pubic hair than women?

Men and women have about the same amount of pubic hair if left alone to go natural.

Do men, on average, have more pubic hair than women?

i think so

Why does a living organism have different types of cells?

Your body is made of about 10 trillion cells. The largest human cells are about the diameter of a human hair, but most human cells are smaller -- perhaps one-tenth of the diameter of a human hair.

Run your fingers through your hair now and look at a single strand. It is not very thick -- maybe 100 microns in diameter (a micron is a millionth of a meter, so 100 microns is a tenth of a millimeter). A typical human cell might be one-tenth of the diameter of your hair (10 microns). Look down at your little toe -- it might represent 2 or 3 billion cells or so, depending on how big you are. Imagine a whole house filled with baby peas. If the house is your little toe, the peas are the cells. That's a lot of cells!

At a microscopic level, we are all composed of cells. Look in a mirror -- what you see is about 10 trillion cells divided into about 200 different types of cells. Our muscles are made of muscle cells, our livers of liver cells, and there are even very specialized types of cells that make the enamel for our teeth or the clear lenses in our eyes!

If you want to understand how your body works, you need to understand cells. Everything from reproduction to infections to repairing a broken bone happens down at the cellular level. If you want to understand new frontiers like biotechnology and genetic engineering, you need to understand cells as well.

Quick Review

All life is made of cells.

Most scientists divide life into 5 separate kingdoms (Plants, Animals, Protists, Moneran, %26amp; Fungi) based on their similarities and differences.

Some life forms are very simple and made of only one cell (Moneran, Protists, some Fungi).

Other life forms (Animals, Plants, some Fungi) are made of many cells that work together

In the last lesson we saw what most cells have in common. When you hear the word cells or study cells you can put a picture in your mind of what a cell looks like. You are familiar with the basic parts of all cells, like a cell membrane, the nucleus, and the mitochondria.

In this lesson, our purpose is to see how cells are different. We call this cell differentiation. In the nucleus of each cell you will find small structures called chromosomes. These hold the plan, like a set of blueprints, which decides what a cell will look like and what its job will be.

A maple tree is an example of a complex organism. It has many cells, but some of the tons of cells do one job, while some of the tons of cells do another job. That is why if I handed you a piece of a maple tree you could tell right away if it was a piece of bark, root, or a leaf.

Each of those parts are made of cells. Each type of cell (leaf cells, bark cells, etc.) has a special task to do so the tree can survive. The leaf gathers sunlight to make food for the tree, but obviously the roots, being underground, away from the sun, don鈥檛 do the same job. They bring water to the leaves and anchor the tree in place. A leaf cell can only make more leaf cells and a bark cell can only make more bark cells.

All types of complex organisms have different cells to do different jobs. To better understand cell differentiation we are going use an example with which you are very familiar --- your body.

FUN FACT: All cells are 90% water.

How are Cells organized?

Every living thing is made of separate cells. They can do their specific job, and work together.

Cells in your body are organized like a school district is organized. In a school there are levels of organization. Students are organized into classes. Classes are organized into grade levels. Grade levels are organized into schools. Schools are organized into a school district.

Life forms have a similar arrangement. Individual cells join together to form tissue, like muscle tissue, bone tissue, or skin tissue. Tissues join together to form organs, like your lungs, your brain, or your intestines. Organs join together to form a whole body system, like the skeletal system, nervous system, or the digestive system. All the body systems join to form the organism.

Comparing cells to schools would look something like this:

Example in a person

Level of organization in a person

Level of organization in a school

Muscle cell

Cell

Student

Muscle tissues

Tissues

Classes

Heart muscle

Organs

Grade Levels

Circulatory System

Organ Systems

Schools

Let鈥檚 Get Moving!

What happens when you run, jump, swim, just tap you fingers on the desk, or even yawn? Muscles help your body do these actions. Plants don鈥檛 move around so they don鈥檛 need muscle tissue which is made of muscle cells. These long stringy fibers can pull together and then relax. When a muscle cell in your body contracts, it is using energy to move some part of you. You know muscle cells in your arms are working when you pick up a heavy box. But they鈥檙e even busy extending and contracting when you smile, frown, breathe, or laugh.

Your heart muscle cells NEVER get a break, keeping your heart beating even when you are asleep.

ONLY SKIN DEEP??

Plants have a layer of outer cells to protect what鈥檚 inside, just like that plastic sandwich bag protects your bologna and cheese sandwich. You have a protective layer, too --- your skin cells. Touch your hand and you鈥檙e touching many thousands of skin cells. All of your outer cells (the ones you can touch) are dead. But just underneath this surface are neat rows of living skin cells.

Squeezed in between those skin cells are other types of cells; nerve cells, which allow you to feel things; fat cells that keep you warm; and capillary cells that make sure all the cells are supplied with oxygen and nutrients from your bloodstream. Skin cells are shaped a little like building blocks, all fitting neatly together and holding all of you together.

The Eyes Have It

Your eyes have nerve cells that turn light into electrical impulses and then send them to your brain. Cone shaped cells pick up bright lights and colors and rod-shaped cells respond to dimmer signals. The retina of your eye contains about 137 million light-sensitive cells in an area about one square inch. There are 130 million rod shaped cells for black and white vision and 7 million cone cells for color vision. Dogs also have special light sensitive cells called cones, which are needed for color vision. However dogs don鈥檛 have as many cones, or as many types of cones, as people do. Dogs see greenish-blue colors as white or grey. They can tell the difference between blues and reds, but confuse colors ranging between greenish yellow and red. This means your dog may have a hard time spotting a red ball on a green lawn.

Bone Cells %26amp; Fat Cells

Bone cells aren鈥檛 all hard and brittle, like you might think. Like your other cells, they are soft and surrounded by membranes. But these cells need calcium and are grouped to form bony tissue. Without our bony skeleton to hold us up, we鈥檇 sink to the ground in a big heap.

Fat Cells look like a bunch of bubbles. They store energy and help insulate the body from cold. When you eat more calories than your body can use that day, your body stores that extra energy as fat, for later. If you run a long race or participate in a strenuous sporting event, you may need more energy than your body has taken in that day. You fat cells are ready to keep your body energized for those intense times.

Your body has many other types of cells. Each type has a specific job and looks different from other cell types, but does look like other cells of the same type. Bone cells look like other bone cells, but look nothing like liver cells.

Tools for Viewing Cells

A magnifying glass can magnify a cell 10-20 times.

An average microscope can magnify a cell 40, 100, %26amp; 400 times. An advanced optical microscope can magnify a cell 2,000 times.

An electron microscope can magnify a cell 1 million times.

Why does a living organism have different types of cells?

The six characteristics of living things, and an explanation of each one.

Theme #1 - Cells

All living things are composed of one or more cells. Different types of cells have different "jobs" within the organism. Each life form begins from one cell, which then will split. These cells split, and so on. After this has happened several times, differentiation is undergone, when the cells change so that they are not the same thing anymore. Then they are used to begin to put together the final organism, some cells, for example, as the eyes, some as the heart, etc. The only arguable exception to this is viruses. They are not composed of cells, but are said to be "living."

Theme#2 - Organization

Complex organization patterns are found in all living organisms. They arrange themselves on very small levels, grouping like things together. On larger levels, they become visible. This also has to do with differentiation, as the cells are organized in a manner that makes sense for the organism after they change to what they鈥檒l be in the final organism.

Theme#3 - Energy Use

All organisms use energy. The sum of the chemical energy they use is called metabolism. This energy is used to carry out everything they do. Autotrophs (plants) use energy from the sun for photosynthesis, to make their own 鈥榝ood鈥?(glucose). Heterotrophs (animals and humans) must ingest food for this purpose.

Theme#4 - Homeostasis

All organisms have stable internal conditions which must be maintained in order to remain alive. These include temperature, water content, heartbeat, and other such things. In a way, this has to do with energy use, because a certain level of energy must be kept within the body at all times. For this, obviously, humans must then ingest food on a regular basis. Not all conditions are for the body to maintain itself; though most are.

Theme#5 - Growth

All organisms grow and change. Cells divide to form new, identical cells. Differentiation happens, as well, when cells mutate into other types of cells, making a more complex organism. Organisms growing, changing, and becoming more complex is called development. Single-celled organisms do grow as well, but they will only become slightly larger 鈥?this is nearly unmeasurable.

Theme#6 - Reproduction

All organisms reproduce in order to continue the species' life. This is combining genetic information (in sexual reproduction) or splitting into two organisms (in asexual reproduction) in order to create another of the same species. In sexual reproduction, the new organism will have some characteristics from the mother, and some from father. It may look like either of them, or it may not. In asexual reproduction, the new organism is an exact copy of the first. Sometimes, not every member of a species is able to reproduce. As long as others are (which we know they can, if they still exist today) then it does not threaten the species. (Except for mules, but don't worry about them, they are a bizarre anomoly.)

Why does a living organism have different types of cells?

Was that a question or an article ... in one sentence organisums have different types of cells to do different types of funttions... they r like cars ..different type of car for every purpose

Why does a living organism have different types of cells?

Wow, this is a question? Seems like a quick cut and paste to me. Yah like the first guy said different cells do different functions.

Why does a living organism have different types of cells?

because that is the way God made us. (and for other answerers this person wants to know why we have all thoes cells and things)

How could Teratomata grow hairs, teeth and nails in a lump of a turmour, to mimic a feotus for a hum

to covertly grow as a malignant tumour? Body snatcher?

How could Teratomata grow hairs, teeth and nails in a lump of a turmour, to mimic a feotus for a human.......?

That's what a teratoma is...a usually malignant tumor that is derived from misplaced fetal cells that are growing the kinds of tissues their "instructions" tell them to. The contents demonstrate that the cells comprising the teratoma were derived from the outermost layer of the developing embryo, the ectoderm. Often they are found either in the gonads or sometimes associated with the pineal gland in the brain.

There is even a condition where it's not just a rogue group of cells responsible for a "fetal" sort of malignancy...in fact, part or all of another fetus may be found growing or mummified within the body of an individual. There have been cases of this in the literature for many centuries, and they've discussed it on TV in those peculiar sorts of shows they have on Discovery or TLC. The condition is known as fetus in fetu.

How could Teratomata grow hairs, teeth and nails in a lump of a turmour, to mimic a feotus for a human.......?

I haven't heard the term, but what you are describing has been described as a non-developed parasitig siamese twin.

How could Teratomata grow hairs, teeth and nails in a lump of a turmour, to mimic a feotus for a human.......?

I myself have had a dermatoid tumor, i believe they don't grow anything. over years you in jest things. swallow a hair or a fingernail, if you are a nail biter. this tumor gets them that way.

that's what i was to understand.hope this helps

How could Teratomata grow hairs, teeth and nails in a lump of a turmour, to mimic a feotus for a human.......?

Hi, go down to the paragraph I marked with ***** to see their explaination. It basically contains the cells that grow either hair, teeth or nails.

Teratoma

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A teratoma is a type of tumor that derives from pluripotent germ cells. The word comes from a Greek term meaning roughly "monster tumor". Teratomata usually start from cells in the testes in men, the ovaries in women and in the sacrum in children. The designation teratoma refers to a group of complex tumors having various cellular or organoid components reminiscent of normal derivatives from more than one germ layer. Teratomata are divided into three categories: (1) mature (benign), (2) immature (malignant), and (3) monodermal or highly specialized.

*****Teratomata often contain well-differentiated cells which can result in tissues growing in a teratoma which are quite different from the surrounding tissue閳ユ攼varian teratomata have been known to grow hair and teeth. Such a benign cystic teratoma is often termed a dermoid cyst, nowadays more correctly termed a mature teratoma. Some teratomata may contain a mixture of well-differentiated, mature tissues as: respiratory epithelium, hair follicle, fat tissue or mature nervous tissue. Immature teratomata of the ovary have a malignant potential in line with the amount of neuroblastic tissue present.

Testicular teratomata are generally less well-differentiated, and have a worse prognosis (chances of recovery are not as high).

Some teratomata secrete the "pregnancy hormone" human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), which can be used in clinical practice to follow-up successful treatment or relapse in patients with a known HCG-secreting teratoma. It is not recommended as a diagnostic marker.

Some teratomata secrete thyroxine, in some cases to such a degree that it can lead to clinical hyperthyroidism in the patient.

In light of the ethical issues surrounding the source of human stem cells, teratomas are being looked at as an alternative source for research since they lack the potential to grow into functional human beings.

Lookin for excellent black hairdresser..urgently needed...do not recommend streets...i need names, s

I have short black hair with blond highlights at the tips, i just took out my human hair extensions and i am looking to relax and treat my hair to keep them natural but straight!

I use to regularly visit an East Dulwich Hair saloon The nouv hair'let but one day i got disappointed by their non professionalism:

i booked an appointment a week in advance to get some single plaits done by my usual hairdresser with human hair.

The morning of the appointment i arrived on time to get my hair done. To my surprise she told me she couldn't do my hair as she isn't specialized in extension but the other hairdresser is...only problem the other girl is booked for the rest of the day.

There they started joking...i didn't find that funny+i had the mobo awards that night, so i found myself running the streets of SE London looking for a trustworthy hair saloon to look after my precious hair.

I never want to experience that again. I need a real black hair pro', do u know that person? introduce me please

Lookin for excellent black hairdresser..urgently needed...do not recommend streets...i need names, saloons!!!?

Edna it the one for you!

She is at Snipperz hairdressing salon, next to Tesco and Dominos pizza in West Thamesmead, South East London. She's a pro and you'll never be dissappointred.

Goodluck!

Lookin for excellent black hairdresser..urgently needed...do not recommend streets...i need names, saloons!!!?

Whats wrong with white hairdressers?

Lookin for excellent black hairdresser..urgently needed...do not recommend streets...i need names, saloons!!!?

isnt a saloon a cowboy bar. . . . with those swingy doors, where the guys always walk in with the two guns. . . . and then you have screaming a shots. . . . but no one ever dies, and the piano guy just keeps playing. . . . . . yah i think you want a salon

Lookin for excellent black hairdresser..urgently needed...do not recommend streets...i need names, saloons!!!?

Hmmm have you tried buying the latest copy of Black Hair and Beauty or Black Beauty? They always have recommendations of the best black hair salons.

I'm not surprised you want to find somewhere else - I'd be fuming if that was me and plaits take so long to do as well!

Lookin for excellent black hairdresser..urgently needed...do not recommend streets...i need names, saloons!!!?

Sorry but this is not an answer. --This is for the information of the guy who was joking about saloons. The word is spelled either way. I thought maybe you were American and they don't have hair saloons there, but I tried google and found that they do. They use either spelling. Check "hair saloon" on google yourself and you will see.

SPELL AND GRAMMAR CHECK THIS FOr TEN POINTS?

responded, 閳ユ换 have the perfect idea. Alien Scientist 324 recently discovered a new planet where the people call themselves 'humans.' They live on a Planet Called 'Earth,' the 294th planet found with life on it. But, out of all the planets with life on them, there's is the most uncivilized. They have noses on their faces instead of their arms! Isn閳ユ獩 that weird? They also have two arms instead of three. They are truly ugly looking. Instead, they carry around these large devices called 'cellular phones,' which are truly annoying. They make these ringing sounds.閳?

Alien 10 interrupted. 閳ユ穾s much as I would like to hear about this highly unsophisticated, extra-terrestrial biological entity, what does this have to do with our zoo? You're off subject.閳?

"Well your alien supremeness, I say we teleport to this highly unsophisticated planet, enter in one of their human hospitals, take a baby human, teleport back to our planet, and place him in a zoo,閳?Alien 15 said while putting his three hands in the air widely.

閳ユ窉o you have the coordinates to a hospital on Earth and temporary DNA changers so we can transform into one of these humans?閳?Alien 10 asked.

閳ユ翻hough they might still be stuck in the digital age, we shouldn閳ユ獩 interfere with this civilization. It isn閳ユ獩 nice. How would you like it if someone just put you in a zoo?閳?Alien 13 replied. Everyone laughed simultaneously

閳ユ翻hey're not people, they're humans,閳?someone replied.

閳ユ凡hat are the coordinates to this planet, Alien 15,閳?Alien 10 said, still laughing at the comment Alien 13 a made.

"540 by 905 are the exact coordinates, sir, and here is a sample of human hair. Put it on the DNA modifier. It will change us to humans, but we will still have our superior alien brains," Alien 15 said back as 10 put in the information to his watch and teleported to a human hospital.

"We need to be quick and agile if we are going to succeed," Alien 10 said, looking at a vending machine. "I wonder what a human liquefied edible element tastes like," thought Alien 10 to himself as he tried to get a drink by shaking the machine.

Telepathically and the zoo profits went up tremendously over the pass few days. Plenty of people visited The Global Zoo of Mathgloboor. The human was the greatest attraction after a month the zoo profits rise way higher then expected seventy billion gold pieces .Years went past the human had know knowledge of himself a feral child isolated from humans not able to speak his on lauagage but the zoo was the largest its all of mathgloboor and all of the employees became rich.. The human became like a jungle animal walking on four legs licking up the much they placed on his floor cage. Until one day a Alien 13 was sadden by what the did and decided to make a change. Alien 13 was a extremely intelligent scientist he worked at the zoo from the side. Throughout the years he was working on a device powered by water it could transmit knowledge to outsiders. And he finally was about to hook it up when it was night. He put the wires in the humans brain and transmitted the knowledge that was needed to who he was. I know who I am said the human I want to return to my planet . The only way to can go back to earth is if you meet with the Alien overlord a cruel dictator who runs this planet and who閳ユ獨 ancestor have run

This planet vigorously. Unless you somehow fight him but you wouldn閳ユ獩 have any chances of winning unless you well no. . Tell me I need to go back to my planet for so long I never knew who I was but now I know who I am I don閳ユ獩 even know my name my family said the human. Look walk from here to over their alien 13. And the human did.

Just as I thought the gravitational pull from this planet Is 43653 times stronger then the one on Earth. Meaning you have somewhat adapted to this planet you have gotten used to the high gravity of this planet in comparison with earth if you go back to earth where the gravirt is so low your muscles would have developed further than normal. Making the very strong so you can jump high and low run very fast and possibly fly alien 13 said quietly. But how is this going to help me go back to earth the human said eagerly.
