hmmmm..i dont think so. this is an example of adaptation because of the environment: the african equatorial human is black because the skin has to be protected from the radiations of the sun. the northern type has white skin, blond hair, and blue/green eyes and a faster absorption of vitamin B. the caucasian type(that's in the middle, 45 parallel) has white skin, dark hair and brown eyes.

It would take a long time without genetic engineering. And then only if it was helpful for survival, given basic scientific thinking. Or a random strong genetic mutation that makes its way across the species eventually. Those are my hypothesis lol..
